Peace be upon you.

I once had a supervisor who dedicated all time on earth to work. To him family was secondary. In his world there is no room for vacation, retreat or holiday. As a result of this orientation, he expects anyone that works with him to queue into this philosophy of work place extremism even when the rule book of the works does not say so. He most of the time opines that “the money is the most important thing and that without it the family breaks and disintegrates”.

Merriam Webster dictionary defines toxic as something containing or being a poisonous material especially when capable of causing death. Things capable of causing this death can be persons, policies, instuitions, friends and teachers. They hide under the banner of expediency to lure you away from the things that matter in your life they attack your psychological vulnerability and hinge on it to tell you that “it has always been that way.

They are fanatics and extremist who have vowed to remake everyone they see in their own image. Hence, are intolerant of better alternatives. Their most potent antic is to attack you emotionally through guilt imposition and when you fall, you become alienated and gradually wither away.

Don’t cave into the antics of this tribe. They are everywhere.

To resist anything requires knowledge and courage not to give in or yield to antics of entanglement.
