It is now clear that politics of populism always leads to tyranny. Alliances are now renegotiated and more marriages of inconveniences are entered, all geared, towards the aim of retaining power, attaining power or wrestling power from those who think they have tried but are not appreciated by the electorates or the oligarchs as the case may be. They become inconsiderate and carry on their duties with a character of uppity and disdain for others not in their folk. The UNIFORM gives them the aura of invincibility and importance devoid of accountability and decorum. In Nigeria, there is no doubt that Uniform men are the principal law breakers. The break traffic rules at random, they intimidate you on the road through extortion. They involve in human trafficking, armed robbery and collaborate with high criminals as we have witnessed with many examples as in the case of the Billionaire kidnapper “Evans”.
