The Vulture. Of all the creatures in the jungle, he has it the easiest. The hard work of others becomes his work; their failure to survive becomes his nourishment. Keep an eye on the Vulture - while you are hard at work, he is circling above. Do not fight him, join him.”
― Robert Greene, The 48 Laws of Power

Peace be upon you

As we approach general elections in Nigeria come 2019, we must not forget the drama of political coalition prior to the 2015 general elections. It is now clear that politics of populism always leads to tyranny. Alliances are now renegotiated and more marriages of inconveniences are entered, all geared, towards the aim of retaining power, attaining power or wrestling power from those who think they have tried but are not appreciated by the electorates or the oligarchs as the case may be.

The Nigerian electorates are now wiser and more informed by the plethora of alternatives at their disposal. The era of government propaganda is well over because of the advantages of the new media which has greatly increased information at everyone’s door.

Why compare Nigerian politician to vultures in the first place? The reason is simple: they are gathering to make sure that they get a vantage position in devouring the decomposing carcass of the Nigerian state.

My advice to the Nigerian electorate at this point is a word from Kevin Nealon that “Don't play dead with a vulture. That's exactly what they want”. So, Nigerian electorates don’t show apathy to politics by pretending that you don’t want or not interested, if you do, their policies will eventually turn us all to carcasses.

Come out and participate

Peace be with you.
