In 1972 Edward Lorenz an American Metrologist hypothesised that "Does the flap of a butterfly wing in Brazil set of a tornado in Texas?. He posited that " A butterfly could flap its wings and set molecules of air in motion, which would move other molecules of air in turn moving more molecules of air eventually capable of starting a hurricane on the other side of the planet. The crux of his ideas is to show how small actions can generate dramatic and complex reactions. It is equally called "chaos theory"(sensitive dependence on initial conditions).
