“One can be comforted for one who is dead but not one who is still living”

Peace be upon you.

This is my 51st blog post 2018 and I am simply following the advice from Nathan and Rubecca Leah’s parents that “We should use whatever influence we have, even if it is our social media profile to speak for religious freedom and peaceful coexistence as reported by Reno Omokri in his book Leah Sharibu: The Girl Boko Haram Left Behind.

Jonathan Sacks notes that “God created many cultures, civilizations and faiths but only one world in which to live together and it is getting smaller all the time. The question is why is the space of religious freedom getting smaller? It is getting smaller because of education for war, intolerance, extremism and fundamentalism.

Reno Omokri noted in his book that he wants the world to know that there is a young girl who is still being held captive by Boko Haram simply because she refused to abandon her faith in God through Jesus Christ.

To make peace, we must make space for someone else who may not be of the same faith or ilk with us.

This post is for Leah Sharibu and for her parents that they may be consoled by the book of Jeremiah 31:17 “There is hope for your future, declares the lord, and your children shall come back to their country”. Amen

Peace be with you.
