Peace be upon you.

What you love to do becomes a ritual. When you pray, exercise, read, write, share your heart and meditate on a continuous flow, it becomes a ritual. Life is sustained by a series of rituals. Love is sustained by a series of rituals. Family cohesion is sustained by a series of rituals. So also, is hate is sustained by a series of rituals passed from one generation to the other. Antisemitism is a clear example of a hate ritual that has endured ages. It eventually led to Hitler almost exterminating a race.

We have rituals of loyalty, rituals of betrayals, rituals of transitions to other phases of life, rituals of denial, rituals of defiance against tyranny, rituals of harmony.If you must be possessed by any ritual, let it be a positive ritual that ennobles healthy living, a ritual practice that contributes towards healing a fractured world.

  
Let’s strive towards the rituals committed towards reducing poverty, diseases, ending wars, supporting education because to “to defend a nation we need armies but to defend a civilization we need education” averred Jonathan Sacks.
