Peace be upon you.

The quote that “you can’t think if you don’t stop” resonated with me and necessitated the topic for discourse today.

Every computer has a refresh icon or command button that you hit whenever the computer, a web-page or an application is not performing at optimal level. The essence of that refresh button is to make the system operate optimally and provide better result.

Human regularly refresh themselves to make their beauty blossom, to increase their capacity for production, to recharge their energies for more contributions to meet with the demands of life. But we must note that the refresh button is used sparingly when the system is not responding as required.
Many of the digital devices we use today, periodically reminds us to update our applications. This process enables the device to work properly. This procedure is equally applicable to humans because if you are not updating yourself, your thoughts processes and thoughts patterns, you are by default becoming an old version and most certainly becomes outdated and irrelevant.

If we are to draw analogy with various relationship we are engaged in, we will come to the understanding that many of patterns of the interactions and association needs to be refreshed through showing more commitments to one another. The various job applications we have made over the years seems not to be yielding the desired positive outcome, we need to pause to unlearn and relearn something new to make us get refreshed for the demands of the ever changing and demanding labour market.

We humans get refreshed through periodically going for retreat, improving ourselves through seminars, conferences and refresher courses, to help avoid the pitfall of disease of ignorance beclouding our sensibilities.

We must all keep thriving to get refreshed physically and otherwise to enable us have to courage and boldness to make the needed change in our various areas of specialty by recognizing our “Signature Strengths” that is the type of strength that will always enable us cross more rivers and climb more mountains.
