No matter how fast we move on the wrong road it is still a wrong road. The story of the prodigal son as told in the bible is that of someone who understood the warning sign and turned back.

So many road signs,signals, markings help explain diffetent course of actions we must take or obey when we use the roads. These signs range from prohibitive signs, mandatory signs, informative signs and warning signs. As humans our entire engagement with mother earth operates on some principles and once their is an infraction, we create hell, a penalty is paid and in paying some penalties we never fully recover.

Family, Economy,  Politics,  Culture and Religion are all capable of making us derail from time to time. Hitler exterminated almost six million jews, Rev king turned women in his congregation in to sex slaves, giving them sexual healing for spiritual salvation and having power of life and death over them. General Sani Abacha in his bid to rule Nigeria for life, eliminated many opposing voices to the throne.

In their book 'WHY NATIONS FAIL' Daron & James posited that to know why Nations fail, those people in charge of decisions making process should be looked at and know what motivates them in to making policies.  We have seen so my Billions of Naria recovered as loot from policy makers in Nigeria. Abba Moro the former Minister of Interior fleeced poor Nigerians  for non existent jobs in the Immigration Agency.

The long walk to freedom taken by Mandela may be unpopular to those who live for the present like Mugabe who has sought  vengeance and has let his people down the lowest ebb of poverty. At 92 years old he is still angling to rule for more years. The protest by Martin Luther jnr  and his dream that one day "people will no longer be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character" is a road worth taking. 

Mandela and Martin luther jnr were able to prove that 'if a million people hold a dumb idea it is still a dumb idea'. No Echo effect solidarity with the old order. They took the road less travelled and it made all the difference with the reconciliation preached by Mandela and the doctrine of equality preached by Martin Luther jnr they healed  divided nations.

To heal a fractured world lets keep obeying the road signs and signals of our common humanity  as enshrined in the universal declaration of rights. Lets strive to heal the world and make it a better place .

Moses maimonides advised that everyone entrusted with a mission is an angel. Be an angel of peace.
