“This House Has Fallen; Nigeria In Crisis” is the title of Karl Maier’s book on Nigeria’s development trajectory. If I ask any Nigerian, if truly Nigeria has fallen? and If yes were to be the answer, I know that evidences abound all around you, if no, I will believe that you are an “incurable Optimist” who still believes that there is still a silver lining at the end of the very dark tunnel

This Animal Farm forum is not about Old Major or Napoleon’s tussle for power but an update on the meeting held by the association of “Money Eating Animals of Nigeria” (MEAN). Rose from its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and made some resolutions regarding how humans now accuse them of looting and stealing of monies. In their resolutions, the following points were passed on for compliance;

a. All animal used as logos for any government ministry, department or agency must as a matter of urgency begin the mopping of excess cash from their various offices or business complex.
b. The eagle in the logo of the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), was specifically mandated with immediate effect to move all recovered loot for proper safe keeping to the crevices of very high mountains or be deposited in the Animal Bank of Industry (ABI).
c. The elephant in First bank was equally given marching orders to move all Treasury Single Account monies into its massive tummy to serve as the bank’s vault.
d. The horse logo of Union bank will hence forth serve as the money moving animal of the Animal Bank of Industry and will always work like boxer in the play “Animal Farm” and make sure that all other monies swallowed or yet to be swallowed are moved to the nearest vault.
e. For the snake, that swallowed 36 million Naira, in the custody of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) office, the eagle must endevour to take the snake for safe keeping in crevices of high mountains.
f. Animals shall no longer stand by the sideline and watch how humans loot monies and accuse them unjustly. They must rise to the occasion and show their natural prowess because they are not in a“Shit hole” country.
The meeting was adjourned for a later date.
